How Old Do You Have To Be to Book a Glamping Pod?

Sharing is caring!

Glamping has been on the rave for the last couple of years. It has provided an alternative for those who don’t want to book a hotel or rough it out on an air mattress inside a tent.

Glamping has become the new norm to experiencing nature with all the comforts you’re used to at home- or maybe more, depending on the site you book. And everybody wants to go!

But do you have to be of a certain age to book a glamping pod? or even a glamping tent, dome, or cabin?

Let’s look at some details and answer the question below.

How Old Do You Have To Be to Book a Glamping Pod?

In most cases, glamping site owners will require you to be at least 18 years to book a pod with them.

This is because you’re required to be fully liable for your actions, and the contract you sign with them when booking needs to be enforceable. Contracts signed by minors are not legally enforceable, meaning if someone below 18 years refuses to pay, the glamping site owner will be at a loss.

If you are below 18 years, you’ll most likely not be allowed to stay alone. You’ll need to be accompanied by someone 18 years and above.

Alternatively, you can ask your parents, guardian, or an older adult to book on your behalf if you don’t want to go with them.

Note: Some sites allow people as young as 16.
